Founded in 2010, Project Moshen set out to revive the style of jazz dance in Philadelphia. Combining the artistic side and the commercial side of dance, Artistic Director Kelli Moshen, blends the two styles & elements together to showcase her fast, intricate, urban style of jazz dance.

Project Moshen produces two shows a year, performs at various events, visits schools in the community, and holds master classes at Philadelphia area universities. Through these efforts, the company hopes to spread their passion, creativity, and knowledge of jazz dance to the community, along with bringing this style of jazz back to life in Philadelphia.

Project Moshen Dance Company produces our annual ovarian cancer awareness event, EXCERPTS, benefitTing THe Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.

This special occasion is held in loving memory of our founder and executive director’s, Kelli Moshen’s beloved mom, Jodi Moshen.

EXCERPTS is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration dedicated to honoring those we've lost, supporting their families, advocating for our fighters, and celebrating our courageous survivors and coming together as a community to make a powerful impact!

The night kicks off with a lively welcome reception featuring live music, delicious food and drinks, exciting raffles, and a silent auction generously sponsored by local businesses and organizations.

The highlight of the evening is a dynamic performance by Project Moshen and local dance companies such as Jim Bunting Dance Company, the Koresh Youth Ensemble, Just Sole Dance, Asya Zlatina + Dancers 7 more.

Past events have included guest speakers such as Gina Gannon from 6 abc action news.

Profits from the evening go towards Ovarian Cancer research.
